We spent the day at The Brentford Project Summer Market, bringing a table full of small weird creatures to the local Ballymore and Brentford community.

There were cards, prints, badges, totes, linocuts, cats with opinions, puffers with concerns, and a few creatures who looked like they had not fully prepared for being seen in public.

We also brought along some ceramic pieces made in collaboration with HA Pottery. Small illustrated creatures, now on mugs. Slightly more useful than a worried pufferfish on paper. Maybe.

As always, we had our draw your own notebook on the table.

The kids did not disappoint.

There were tiny square cats, suspicious owls, bold little animals, and several drawings with strong emotional weather. The notebook is becoming one of our favourite parts of doing markets. People stop, draw something strange, and leave a little creature behind.

Thank you to everyone who came by, bought something, asked about the work, smiled at the pufferfish, or contributed to the notebook.

It was lovely to bring Whales From Space to the locals at The Brentford Project.

You can find some of our cards, prints and small printed things in the Whales From Space shop.

See you at the next market.

Small creatures will return.
